Sadly, I agree with everything you said. It does, though, seem Wokism is self-limiting in the natural order sense. It'll last as long as unearned goods and services flow to such unproductive people. Jail will be beneficial in changing some behaviors. Per Herb Stein: "Things that can’t go on, stop."

Your parenting advice is very good.

As I note, Wokianism is fed by a steady stream of damaged minds that are easily subsumed into the destructive agenda. Left to their own devices, the movement would evaporate within a decade. Have a look at the "Lost Generation" of China, the result of Maoism taken to its logical conclusion.

Great caution should be applied to any of Freud's pronouncements as he was regularly abused by his father which, of course, had an enormous effect on his "theories". The problems mentioned by you were dealt with by Dr. Edward Bach who had an extraordinary gift. When he placed blossoms of plants on his hands he was able to tell the effects these plants would have on the human mind and, as a result, he produced 38 "Bach Remedies", which treated all "mind problems". These days different vocabulary is being used to describe mental problems which, however, does not change the fact that all these problems were already diagnosed and successfully treated by Dr. Bach many years ago. Obviously, Bach remedies are not used by allopathic doctors and, consequently, many people are unaware of the fact that solutions exist for their mental problems.

I was unaware of Bach's contribution. Certainly, there are a great many herbs with psychological effects in traditional Chinese and Indian medicine. Ones fairly well-known in the West include Gingko Biloba and St. John's Wart. More recently, psychedelics are making inroads in a wide range of treatments.

As noted, I'm not a big fan of Freud by any means. However, I thought the correlations between his Thanatos Theory and modern Wokianism were worth exploring. The idea of early abuse and later insanity seems apropos.

Obviously, your observations are very relevant. I think I ought to mention how the Bach remedies are produced because it has nothing to do with "digesting" anything. In the case of the Bach remedies the blossoms of the flowers are floated on spring water and exposed to the sun. The sun then transfers the healing properties to the water, which is bottled (with the addition of some alcohol fo durability) and taken in the form of drops. In other words, these remedies work on a totally different level, which includes the problem areas mentioned by you.

Spot on. The only tweak I would offer is that it may not always be parental narcissism and neglect that causes the problem because the culture itself has become so utilitarian, emotivist, and egocentric that parental influences can be overcome. In that case, the prescription would be protect your children from the culture, something many parents are not clued in to do.

Radio Far Side's avatar

Good point, but in the end it is the parents who must be discerning and willing to put in the time to protect children from the toxic atmosphere. Few parents these days are equipped to do that, much less motivated. The most difficult part is not consigning children to state-run indoctrination centers, and having one parent at home at all times. It takes a long-term plan, a concerted effort, and self-sacrifice to go that route. I have rarely met a woman willing to take that path, and only a few men.

I have many woke friends and, as if by mutual agreement, we avoid discussing politics. When we do, they argue that there are as many right wing wackos as there are left-wing wackos. I have to bite my tongue because, the truth of the matter is that the left has become so radicalized that if you voice the opinion that we should simply follow the law, you are branded and alt-right crypto fascist.

I believe the radicalization of the left came about because of the elections at the end of Trump's first term; traditionally, governments in the US enjoy two terms unless if they screw up royally. In Trump's case, the economy was doing quite well and, as a result, the opposition had to turn to radical splinter groups on the far left who made the election about racism.

It was quite a long shot, given Biden's and Kamala's record, but it paid off. And since then, the left has been beholden to the radical elements on the far left.

Radio Far Side's avatar

That's a good point, but I think the precipice left were already radicalized long ago. They were mobilized to steal the 2020 election, because the NeoCons couldn't abide another Trump term, and Biden was oh-so-malleable. Between fabricated Frankenflu and the totally paid-for Floyd riots, they were able to mostly hide the steal, but not completely. No one fell for it in 2024, and two attempted assassinations sealed the deal.

Indeed, my Wokian friends have either stopped discussing politics (unwinnable argument) or they've simply stopped talking at all, because they fear even the possibility of having their ideologies exposed. It's a shame, but anyone who allows such petty disagreements destroy a muti-decade friendship is really no friend at all.

I recently noted to one of them that he would be very happy in prison. Think about it, it's a leftist's Utopia: everyone is equal, no one owns anything, free food, free healthcare, no one has a car, no one has guns, and everyone wears the same Maoist uniform! And best of all: almost zero emissions!... Sadly, he didn't answer lol

Radio Far Side's avatar

Excellent point, and I'm not surprised he didn't answer. Not much one can say to that. The thing about radicals is they always assume they will be king of the hill, getting all the perks and goodies, while the rest of us serve them. I refer to O'Brien in 1984 as an example. There is never equality under any political system, though the ancient Greeks might be said to have come closest. There's always a "leader" class doling out favors to the worker bees. It doesn't matter what system you care to point to.

16 years of intense Marxist brainwashing in the government schools doesn't help, either. I'm amazed this issue is so universally ignored by people looking for answers.

Radio Far Side's avatar

The schools are the key, since they get the kids more than the parents do through the formative years. As for general awareness of the issues, the vast majority of people still turn to the GeezerMedia to set the agenda and deliver the talking points. If the "gatekeepers" don't dwell on the origins of the mental and spiritual degradation, the masses remain blind to it.

I have come up with a slightly different explanation, one that is spelled out in this novel. Here's a link for reference, but happy to send you a free copy, RFS.

The blurb is intriguing. I wonder if you have an audio book available. My eyes are very nearly shot. Give us a link if so, I'd like to check it out. Cheers!

Sorry to hear about your eyes! There is an Amazon audio version at the link. It's computer generated so I can't vouch for the quality, but hopefully it will do. Unfortunately I can't send it to you directly or I would.

Very helpful, thank you! I will hunt it down. The eyes are an annoyance, but I try not to let it slow me down too much. :)

Thank you!

They've always been violent. Look at Russia, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, several countries in Central and South America. It is their modus operandi to foment murder and destruction. The Achilles Heel of their efforts in the US is private gun ownership. You will notice that they are strongest where guns are most controlled (California, Oregon, New York, etc.). They subdue populations through fear and intimidation. 200 million gun owners works the opposite way. And remember, fascism and socialism are essentially the same thing, so the Brown Shirts are just as much part of this argument as the Bolsheviks. The only difference is who gets to be in charge.
