One of my life-long passions has been anything space-related. From intensely following the early manned space programs, to backyard telescopes and dog-eared star charts, I eagerly learned star names, tracked the planets, and dreamed of reaching the celestial realm. Even now, nothing gives me quite as much pleasure as sitting under the stars at the mountain house, sipping Salty Dogs and watching the eternal pageant.
Throughout the years, I have evolved the opinion that astronomy and astrology are two perspectives on the same concept, and they are (once again?) metging. It seems to me that if we are “star stuff,” as Carl Sagan put it, and the Universe is awash in energetic events in all directions, why wouldn’t we be imprinted with an electro-magnetic “snapshot” of the moment of our birth? After all, most of Earth’s creatures appear to be imprinted with the location of their birth.
To my way of thinking, this snapshot does not predestine the individual, but rather sensitizes one to certain energies and currents that may influence one’s choices and reactions to environmental stimulae. In other words, I do not read my daily horoscope, but I am aware that (in my case) those born under the constellation Leo tend to have certain personality traits and are predisposed to certain behaviors.
By the same token, nations, civilizations and even humanity itself seem to be tied to the Universal Pageant.
One example of this concept is the contention that the history of the United States is tied to the passage of the planet Uranus through the constellation of Gemini. Interestingly, Uranus will enter Gemini again in 2025, and events seem to be leading to another 87-year upheaval.
What is difficult to discern, is whether the heavens steer events, or human belief systems do, or whether it’s simply apophenia.
Greater than patterns at the individual or societal levels is the idea that humanity itself is guided by a Grand Zodiac, something known as the Great Year. A researcher who is absolutely riveting on this subject is Randall Carlson.
If you are unfamiliar with the Great Year, it is a fascinating topic. Simply put (as best I can), as the Earth’s poles precess over a roughly 26,000-year cycle, the cosmic zenith at the precise moment of the Equinox moves counter-clockwise through the zodiac, with each sign being a Great Month lasting about 2,400 years. We are currently transitting from Pisces to Aquarius, and it seems that the end of each Great Month usually brings great upheavals in human history, as the patterns and intensities of cosmic energy shifts with the new asterism.
The order of the Great Months in humanity’s collective history past to present is Leo, Cancer, Taurus, Aries, Pisces, and Aquarius. Together, they add up to roughly 13,000 to 15,000 years, or about the time since the end of the Younger Dryas epoch and the Great Flood, and the dawn of our current civilization. Conspicuously missing in the records is the Age of Cancer.
If we assume that ancient Egypt is far older than “experts” currently believe, then the Great Sphinx and symbols of winged lions might mark the Age of Leo. The Biblical (and Babylonian) tale of the Golden Calf might represent Taurus. The Christ as Sacrificial Lamb might represent the Age of Aries. The Christian symbol of the fish and the pope’s fish hat could be said to mark the Age of Pisces. In Luke 22:10, Jesus tells his advance team to meet a man carrying a jug of water in the city. Was he making an occult reference to the Age of Aquarius? Was he telling us to look for the Age of Auquarius for the Great Revealing?
As noted, there doesn’t seem to be a record matching the Age of Cancer, which is curious and may blow the whole theory out of the water, or it may indicate a global disaster that left a gaping hole in our records. If a reader is aware of ancient monumental crabs or symbols, please note it in the comments.
What is known for certain is that several ancient societies knew of the Great Year, though it would have taken meticulous observations and record-keeping over hundreds, if not thousands of years to discover the pattern. And if they knew about it, why wouldn’t they make monumental works of art of immortalize the passage of Great Months, especially as a means of warning the future about transitional chaos?
Whether all of this is real, objective and provable is fodder for volumes of research. However, let us suppose that certain groups who pretend to control global events are fervent believers in this pattern. Would they behave in ways they perceive to give them an advantage over the rest of humanity? Would they try to steer, or even create events that they think will give them power for the next Great Month? Did some group take advantage of the last transition to place themselves in power during the current Great Month of Pisces?
The Age of Aquarius is said to usher in a Great Awakening, and Age of Gnosis, the revelation (apocalypse in its true meaning) of truths that are hidden from us now. It seems logical that those who have power under the Piscean influence, the age of secrets and group think, would lose their privileged positions in an age of gnosis, when esoteric and occult knowledge is poured out on all humanity.
Would they do everything possible to stop the transition, or at least guide it in their favor? Would other groups be doing all they could to end the Pisceans and enhance the Aquarians?
Would this struggle manifest itself in our daily lives as a battle between Good and Evil, between Ultimate Freedom and Ultimate Slavery? Is that what we are seeing now?
So, where do we go with this?
Let’s assume that at a minimum, the enemy truly believes all of this and is acting upon it to manipulate world events. This presents an opportunity to understand the motives of the enemy, and to prepare counter-measures against likely courses of action. For instance, would a group acting on this belief system want to destroy as many humans as they could to prevent a gnosts moment? If so, what means do they have to carry this out and what could we do to survive - if not stop - their most likely actions?
The world, meaning us, are in a highly complex situation. Anything that makes a bit of sense from it all and presents actionable alternatives is just the kind of edge rational humans need to confound the enemy, and even turn it back.
It’s not easy. It requires a lot of individual research and though, not to mention discussion among interested parties. If we are indeed entering the Age of Aquarius, then we must not succumb to group think, but we must seek self-awareness and coordinate action without sacrificing the moral and rational high ground that is our greatest strength.
As my mother liked to say, crazy people make sane people crazy. It is a constant internal battle to remain uninfected with the insanity that is sweeping the world. Understanding the “why” of things is a major defense against the insanity.
Something to ponder on a soggy monsoon morning.
Slan agus beannacht!
